OVER 29: BAN 177/4 (Mushfiqur 34* Mahmudullah)
Strong stuff from Zampa, who seems to be getting more turn than the Bangladesh spinners managed earlier. 120 balls remain. Bangladesh still need 205. And yet, they are ahead of where Australia were at this stage of the innings. The real question now is whether Bangladesh bat deep enough to do what their opponents did earlier on today.
OVER 28: BAN 175/3 (Das 20* Mushfiqur 34*)
It had seemed as if Finch wanted to strangle Bangladesh with Cummins and Starc in these middle overs but he has hooked the latter now, saving him a handful of overs for later on when there is more pressure on the batsmen.
Das continues to step things up, going after Coulter-Nile with a wonderful pull shot to the boundary.
OVER 28: BAN 167/3 (Das 13* Mushfiqur 33*)
Some Cummins over for Bangladesh, this. What a fantastic shot from Liton Das as he pushes back past the bowler for a four straight down the ground, and then drives through the covers for four more after an awful misfield from Stoinis on the rope. 10 more added to the total.
OVER 27: BAN 157/3 (Das 4* Mushfiqur 32*)
Starc comes steaming in again but Mushfiqur looks more than comfortable against Australia's dangerman. The Bangladeshi batsmen rotate strike well before Mushfiqur ploughs a gorgeous cover drive to the rope. Eight runs off a Starc over is about as good as you can hope for.
OVER 26: BAN 149/3 (Das 2* Mushfiqur 26*)
Trouble afoot for Bangladesh now as Finch brings Cummins back into the attack with Starc on at the other end. There is pressure to keep the run rate up but against two of the World Cup's best bowlers that might be beyond their Bangladesh's order.
Cummins keeps them down to just three runs off this over and the required run rate ticks up towards 10. Sky Sports' win predictor gives Bangladesh just a two per cent chance of winning this one... Australia are very good at suffocating opponents in these middle overs and it looks like they'll succeed again.
OVER 23: BAN 135/2 (Tamim 57* Mushfiqur 20*)
Two singles and then Tamim hits that hard towards deep extra cover, beating Khawaja. Lyon (sub) works hard to stop a boundary, three runs though.
Up in the air off the last by Starc, a bouncer flying but safe for another single to third man. Might see a slip soon.
OVER 21: BAN 120/2 (Tamim 51* Mushfiqur 11*)
Stoinis continues. Tamim gets hit again! Smith almost warning his side, "that's three today!"
Great shot square by Tamim, beating fine leg and backward square. Single to third man then takes Tamim to 50, his first of the CWC. It's come off 65 balls.
Eight from the over in the end.
OVER 14: BAN 78/1 (Tamim 28* Shakib 33*)
Last ball of the previous over, funny moment as the throw to the keeper catches Tamim on the leg. All smiles and handshakes.
One single for Shakib. Short to Tamim, tries the pull but doesn't come off, gets a single. Full toss clipped to the onside for another run.
OVER 8: BAN 41/1 (Tamim 22* Shakib 3*)
Coulter-Nile into the action and starts with a wide, then a single to deep backward point.
Big shout from the Aussies and Finch wants the review! Carey led the calls for lbw against Shakib. Was definitely on the way to the stumps, but it's pitched outside leg! Huge moment, review gone.
No run off the last.
OVER 6: BAN 32/1 (Tamim 15* Shakib 2*)
Maxwell in early for a bowl and immediately, first ball, hit for four towards extra cover.
Couple of quick singles, and then Tamim cops one on the back of the leg from Khawaja throwing the ball back to the keeper. Khawaja quickly over to apologise.
Responds with a nudge to third man, cut off by Starc for a single.
OVER 4: BAN 23/1 (Tamim 8* Shakib 0*)
Bouncer to end the over from Cummins.
Huge pressure on Shakib's shoulders to deliver runs here - highly recommend Tim Wigmore's feature on him. That run out is painful to watch back.
WICKET! Soumya Sarkar run out (Finch) 10
Late swing from Cummins, so late that it misses the keeper and goes for four byes.
Huge mix up and that's amazing fielding by Finch, direct hit, Soumya gone! Tamim set of, no movement until too late from Soumya and Finch from mid-on, slides, gets up and then cracks the stumps with a throw into the deck. FOW 23/1
OVER 2: BAN 9/0 (Tamim 7* Soumya 2*)
Cummins' turn now. Soumya gets a single on the defensive, blocked well by Warner at mid-off. Lovely shot by Tamim, into the deck and driven away to past Warner at mid-off this time.
Looks as though Tamim has cracked his bat. Finch having a look before the replacement comes out.
END OF INNINGS: AUS 381/5 (Stoinis 17* Carey 11*)
Mustafizur in for the final over. Three singles and then Stoinis clubs a drive back down the wicket for four runs. Two balls left... top edged for four! Down at third man. Not the prettiest of shots but he won't care.
Last ball... drive to long-off but a man is out there to keep it to two runs. Australia's third-highest score in ODIs. 382 to win then for Bangladesh.
Australia in a strong position
So as the rain comes down at Trent Bridge and the covers come out, Australia can relax having put themselves firmly in the driving seat. Warner was the architect of their huge score, with Khawaja, Finch and Maxwell also contributing helpfully.
However, given Australia were 313/1 in the 45th over and scoring at a frightening rate, Bangladesh might actually be content with the score.
Ben Coles will be taking over for a little while now.
OVER 49: AUS 368/5 (Stoinis 6* Carey 9*)
Soumya will bowl the penultimate over. He produces a couple of good slower balls which Stoinis doesn't connect with properly but the two batsmen run hard and well to nick an extra run. Carey then cuts for four.
A storm has hit Nottingham with just one over of the innings to go... and the umpires are taking the players off.
WICKET! Smith lbw b Mustafizur 1
No pressure on Smith but he goes second ball! It's a full toss that he completely misses and it hits him on on the back leg right in front of his stumps. Out of desperation he reviews but it is a waste. He goes for one run and Mustafizur finally has some reward on a tough day. Fow 354/5
WICKET! Maxwell run out (Rubel) 32
Soumya, the part-timer who has taken both Australia wickets so far, is smashed for six by a rampant Maxwell, but then he goes next ball! He is troubled by a yorker, which he toe-ends to short fine leg, and he decides to run when Khawaja says no. Maxwell gets caught halfway down the track, and when he goes to turn back Rubel - the man who took two earlier catches - throws in a direct hit with Maxwell way out of his ground. Fow 352/3
OVER 46: AUS 346/2 (Khawaja 89* Maxwell 32*)
Rubel over-steps first ball and hands Maxwell a huge chance with a free hit... which he takes with both hands and smacks for a six! Next ball is wide and he swats it away for four through cover! And then he swivels to plant the next one over the rope at midwicket for six more! He goes after the next one but it falls just short and Tamim chases it down to keep it to three, before Khawaja hits another four off the final ball. 25 off the over!
WICKET! Warner c Rubel b Soumya 166
Warner finally falls - and Shane Watson's record still stands! It's a similar dismissal to Finch's, the same combination teaming up to get Warner lobbing up a catch to short third man. What an innings that was from Warner! He has sent out a real message to the rest of the World Cup there. Fow 313/2
OVER 43: AUS 296/1 (Warner 151* Khawaja 82*)
Bangladesh will need far better from Mortaza here... but he cannot provide. A wide full toss is swatted over midwicket for six by Warner, who then nicks a single to bring up his 150.
Khawaja is more about placement and once again he finds the gap with a lovely push through the covers.
Australia have scored 59 off the last four overs.
OVER 42: AUS 282/1 (Warner 143* Khawaja 75*)
Mustafizur again, a big swing from Khawaja and the yorker very nearly does for him, but a thin edge beats the keeper and it races away for four. Then he pokes a short ball down to third man for four more. Trouble ahead for Bangladesh.
Two more for Khawaja and then a full toss is dispatched for another four, before he finds the gap again pulling a short ball. 17 runs off the over, all for Khawaja.
OVER 41: AUS 263/1 (Warner 143* Khawaja 57*)
Shakib's bowling is all over the place! A full toss, two too far down leg, one too short and way outside off which Warner reverse sweeps for four!
Warner then drags a short one but almost puts it down short fine leg's throat... then the final ball is too short and Warner leans back, swings and smacks it way over deep midwicket for six. An expensive over, and a sign of what Warner will be doing from here on in.
OVER 39: AUS 237/1 (Warner 123* Khawaja 52*)
Warner goes after Mustafizur with a huge swing but he completely misses. Next ball he connects but not quite cleanly, just clearing mid-off.
With big hitters like Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis to come, is it ridiculous to think Bangladesh might prefer to keep the current men in for a bit longer?
OVER 38: AUS 230/1 (Warner 119* Khawaja 50*)
Warner brings up the 100 partnership with a well-timed cut behind backward point, before Khawaja turns one off his hip for four and another for a single to take him to his first 50 of the World Cup.
Meanwhile, Warney still isn't happy:
WarnER, on the other hand, is now the top scorer at the World Cup.
OVER 37: AUS 218/1 (Warner 113* Khawaja 44*)
Mustafizur varies his length and pace well and neither batsman really manages to get hold of him. Solid stuff.
Telegraph Sport columnist Michael Vaughan hasn't been impressed by Khawaja...
While Aussie great Shane Warne wants to see more ambition from his countrymen.
The stats suggest Warner is ramping things up:
OVER 36: AUS 212/1 (Warner 110* Khawaja 42*)
These two batsmen are doing a really impressive job of scoring of almost every ball and pushing for two where possible.
Then Warner tries to pull a ball that keeps too low and it smacks him square in the knackers, then needing a moment to regain his composure.
OVER 35: AUS 208/1 (Warner 108* Khawaja 40*)
Mortaza comes back on and Warner punishes a short-ish ball with a brutal pull shot over midwicket for four. And then Khawaja does the same - an almost identical shot through the same gap and four more runs.
15 overs remain. Australia will be eyeing 350, I reckon.
OVER 33: AUS 190/1 (Warner 101* Khawaja 29*)
Warner changes bat on 99. Shakib to bowl.
It's too straight and that is the easiest single of Warner's century. As he begins his run there is an audible cry of "YES" from out in the middle. He salutes the pavilion, clearly delighted with his work so far. He's probably after a fair few more runs though.
OVER 31: AUS 177/1 (Warner 91* Khawaja 26*)
Shakib comes back on, and another wobble for Khawaja, this time miscuing a reverse sweep. But he doesn't lose faith, going for it again next ball and taking two runs. He is past 20 for only the second time in this World Cup, and the partnership has moved past 50.
He then sweeps very fine down leg for four more. Australia are in the ascendancy here.
OVER 29: AUS 165/1 (Warner 87* Khawaja 18*)
The first boundary we have seen in a while comes as Warner swings aggressively at a full ball outside off, which flies over mid-off and to the rope via a couple of bounces. And then another, this time it is slightly shorter, slightly wider, and Warner leans back to cut it for four.
OVER 26: AUS 144/1 (Warner 72* Khawaja 12*)
There is nearly a mix-up between the batsmen as Khawaja calls for a single after pushing to mid-on, and Warner, heading in the opposite direction, inexplicably hesitates halfway down the track. The fielder doesn't pick it up cleanly and then his throw is poor, so the chance goes begging.
OVER 25: AUS 139/1 (Warner 69* Khawaja 10*)
Khawaja finds the gap as he turns one away off his hip for four. He's into double figures again.. but he has fallen in the 10s in all but one of his World Cup innings so far.
CricViz reckon Finch has taken full advantage of the chances that have come his way with the bat at this tournament.
OVER 22: AUS 123/1 (Warner 63* Khawaja 1*)
Khawaja has only made a start in every innings so far at this World Cup, making it into double figures each time, but only once has he surpassed 20, and he is yet to make a 50. This isn't the dangerman for Bangladesh to worry about, but he is still a threat. Just two off the over as Khawaja begins to settle in.
WICKET! Finch c Rubel b Soumya 53
Soumya Sarkar comes on for Bangladesh for the first time at this World Cup. A right-arm medium-fast bowler that Australia won't know much about... and he has made the breakthrough!
It's come out of nowhere but the pace and extra bounce catches Finch off guard. He tries to push down to third man but there is a man up and it goes straight down his throat! Fow 121/1
OVER 18: AUS 104/0 (Warner 56* Finch 44*)
Mehidy continues. Warner comes down the track but misjudges and it clips him on the back pad. There's a huge appeal from Mehidy but no interest from the umpire and they decide against an appeal. Warner came a long way down the track and the ball was drifting towards leg when it hit him. Replays show it was a good decision not to appeal.
OVER 14: AUS 83/0 (Warner 48* Finch 32*)
Here comes the Warner we know. The first ball is a full toss driven past cover for four, the next he slog sweeps deep into the stands for six.
Australia are getting into their groove now, but there's no sign of the Bangladesh fans quietening down any time soon.
OVER 13: AUS 72/0 (Warner 37* Finch 32*)
Rubel Hossain takes over to add some extra pace to the Bangladesh attack. He is let down by a misfield at midwicket before some fancy footwork saves the boundary.
Warner then thrashes at a ball that kicks up higher than he expected it to and misses! There are a couple of shouts for an edge but no interest from the umpire and no review.
OVER 10: AUS 53/0 (Warner 26* Finch 24*)
Star man Shakib Al-Hasan is being brought into the attack now, and the excitement is palpable around Trent Bridge. (By the way you should read Tim Wigmore on why Shakib is the World Cup's undisputed MVP.) Bangladesh are choosing to continue to attack the batsmen, with only two men in the deep.
Finch picks up a full ball beautifully and drives straight down the ground for four, bringing the 50 up for the loss of no wicket.
Powerplay 1 done. Australia are strong starters.
OVER 7: AUS 36/0 (Warner 18* Finch 15*)
Finally Mortaza's ploy becomes clear, with a second inside edge for Warner. Mortaza is trying to tempt him into cutting balls that are too straight for it... but then he dangles one outside off and Warner needs no second invitation there, swatting away for four.
OVER 5: AUS 27/0 (Warner 12* Finch 13*)
First big shot of the day with Finch striding forward and driving over extra cover for one of the shortest sixes you'll see - it's a short boundary and it lands just a foot over the rope.
He then flicks one off his hip and into the air but into the gap at square leg for a single.
Warner then cuts to backward point and there's a man there.. but it's dropped! It comes at him so fast that he didn't stand much of a chance but you can't really drop David Warner at all. How costly will that prove?
OVER 2: AUS 9/0 (Warner 5* Finch 4*)
Mustafizur Rahman bounces one in which Warner just prods through a gap and again it just flies away from the chasing pack for four. Mustafizur pushes Warner back in his crease before the fifth ball is fuller and hit Warner on the back pad. A half-hearted appeal quickly fizzles out - it was high and going down leg.
OVER 1: AUS 5/0 (Warner 1* Finch 4*)
Mashrafe Mortaza to take the new ball, and he'll start off around the wicket to David Warner. There's a slip in place, just two fielders out in the deep and a buzz of excitement among the truly brilliant Bangladesh fans.
Warner, whose strike rate has been way down in this World Cup on what we know he can produce, doesn't pick one up properly and inside edges it for an unconvincing first run.
Finch takes the strike and pushes one off his thigh through the gap and it races away to the rope. Shakib then prevents another boundary a smart stop at cover.
A big day for the neutral
New Zealand, England, Australia and India are threatening to pull away at the top of the standings and render the rest of the group stage almost meaningless. That's why today is so important.
Australia are unsurprisingly favourites to win, but Bangladesh have it well within them to produce a big performance and an upset. A win would move Bangladesh level with India on seven points and just one point behind Australia and India.
A loss, however, will see Australia go top of the table, and Bangladesh will remain two points off the top four having played two games more than fourth-placed India.
We all want this round robin to stay competitive for as long as possible, so a Bangladesh win would do nicely. And that's got nothing to do with the fact that they're playing Australia. Nothing at all...
Australia win the toss
And Aaron Finch wants to have a bat, billing the track as "a very good surface".
Three changes for the Aussies: Zampa comes back to add some much-needed spin, with Richardson dropping out. Coulter-Nile in for Behrendorff, Stoinis fit again and replaces Marsh.
Australia: Aaron Finch (c), David Warner, Usman Khawaja, Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Alex Carey (wk), Nathan Coulter-Nile, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Adam Zampa
Two changes for the Tigers as captain Mashrafe Mortaza explains here:
Mohammad Saifuddin is out because of the back spasm. Mosaddek Hossain hurt his shoulder. So he is out as well. Sabbir Rahman and Rubel Hossain come into the side.
Bangladesh: Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Liton Das, Mahmudullah, Sabbir Rahman, Mehedi Hasan, Mashrafe Mortaza (c), Rubel Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman.
Match preview
The fifth and last Cricket World Cup match in Nottingham will start on time in dry conditions on Thursday.
A sunny ending is in store for Australia or Bangladesh.
Australia is looking to consolidate its place in the semifinal positions while Bangladesh is trying to break in. Both are coming off good wins. Australia put away Sri Lanka by 87 runs last Saturday, while Bangladesh swept aside the West Indies by seven wickets on Monday.
Australia will have a full squad to choose from after bowling allrounder Marcus Stoinis recovered from a left side strain and Nathan Coulter-Nile, man of the match against the West Indies in Nottingham two weeks ago, was over back stiffness.
