Kim Kardashian West channels Carrie Bradshaw in vintage newspaper-print Dior
The reality star took her cue from one of Sex and the City's most memorable looks
Kim Kardashian West last night channeled one of the most well-known looks from Sex and the City, Carrie Bradshaw's newspaper-print Dior dress. The reality star wore a skirt from John Galliano's autumn/winter 2000 collection for the house to an event in Los Angeles, which echoed a dress Sarah Jessica Parker's character wore on the show from the same collection.
Kardashian West attended at a Levi's event wearing a skirt from the vintage Dior collection, teaming it with a white vest top and carrying a Dior Saddle bag of the same print. She added a heeled flip-flop and wore her hair in a sleek bob.
Although the reality star did not state that she was nodding to the Sex an the Citymoment, Kardashian often shares her inspiration and mood boards with fans after an event, including for the Met Gala, where she shared images of Sophia Loren wearing a see-through wet dress in the movie Boy on a Dolphin, which had served as the inspiration for her ensemble.
The Dior dress featured in the episode of Sex and the City where Carrie apologised to Big's wife Natasha for having an affair. The look became so iconic that it was revisited in the movie.
