Basically Every Pop Star On The Planet Is Dropping New Music Tomorrow

May 30 2019 sees new music from Cardi B, Rosalía, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and more
Fridays can be stacked with new music releases at the best of times, but you might have to cancel your plans tomorrow, because every other pop juggernaut is dropping a new track.
Let’s start with the big returns. Katy Perry has popped up on a few tracks since her so-so 2017 album Witness, including the Zedd collab ‘365’, but tomorrow marks her first single from an upcoming album/era, titled ‘Never Really Over’.
Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus will release a three-track EP She Is Coming tomorrow, assumedly featuring the new songs she debuted this past weekend during a set at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend festival.
Cyrus is hyping it as a “new project”, and judging by live footage, it’s a return to her hip-hop indebted Bangerz era. Speaking of hip-hop, Cardi B is also dropping a new song, ‘Press’, off her new (yet untitled) album promised for later this year.
Mark Ronson is making his, uh, mark this Friday, too. ‘Find U Again’, a collab with Camila Cabello, will arrive, as will protégé King Princess‘ latest single, ‘Cheap Queen’.
Charli XCX, despite releasing a collab with Lizzo just a fortnight ago, is back again this week. We’re getting ‘Spicy’, an interpolation of the Spice Girls‘ ‘Wanabe’ made with Diplo and Herve Pagez.
Plus, Kim Petras and Madonna both continue to drop singles each week ahead of impending albums, and Tove Lo and Rosalía will both have singles out, too. Bebe Rexha and The Chainsmokers are also releasing a song together.
Phew. Did we miss any?
We don’t think we did, but either way, it’s best to stay tuned to Noteworthy, our weekly Spotify playlist of the fortnight’s best new releases.
